Andy Horlock Marks 27 Year Milestone

A pillar of our customer care team, Andy has spent nearly three decades supporting customers and delivering service with heart.

Andy, from Lytchett Minster, joined us in 1998 as a groundworker after previously working for the National Trust Corfe Castle doing stonework and consolidation work.

“My dad was a farmer who used to deliver hay to the Wyatt family, so I’d known them for years,” said Andy. “I knew David was looking to grow the team and during my interview he shared some of his plans for taking the company forward. That vision really resonated with me, and I wanted to be part of it and contribute to what’s ahead. My first job? Drainage around a garage!”

Andy then moved into the customer care side of the business eight years ago and his role covers everything from housing association inspections to helping customers who have recently moved into their new Wyatt homes.

“My role is a constant learning curve, in my time at Wyatt we’ve had to adapt to new products, new materials, new trades and also new tech but adapting has meant I’ve been able to grow in my role,” said Andy.

To Andy, great customer care is when he leaves a customer with a smile on their face: “Often I’m the last point of contact a customer has with the Wyatt team so I always strive for them to have a positive final experience.”

Over the years Andy has been involved in many standout developments including Vision, the multi award winning cliff top seaside apartments in Sandbanks, with Dorset Coastline and Poole Harbour views that completed in 2009. He also loves our current development in Wimborne, Rivers Edge.

“What sets our developments apart is how seamlessly they blend into the local area,” said Andy. “We’re thoughtful about every detail, from the materials we choose to the way each home complements its surroundings. The result is a high-quality product with exceptional attention to detail, and I’m incredibly proud to have been part of it for so many years.”
