Pledging Support to Local Charities for our 35th Anniversary

Wyatt Homes on a Charity Walk for Routes to Roots and Wimborne Food Bank
To celebrate Wyatt Homes’ 35th anniversary this year, we will be taking on a number of challenges for local charities to continue support of our two chosen organisations – Wimborne Food Bank (a part of Faithworks) and Routes to Roots, a homelessness charity based in Poole, Dorset.
Wimborne Food Bank provides a community service for those who are struggling across the town, including daily essentials to those in need. With food parcels and items, debt advice, budget support and more, the charity ensures that local families don’t miss out on important experiences due to financial constraints.
Routes to Roots provides vital work across the town of Poole and beyond to help vulnerable people, through offering hot food, showers, sleeping bags and other necessities, while also working closely with addiction teams, mental health workers and Poole’s rough sleeper outreach team.
Last year, 28 members of the Wyatt Homes team were able to raise over £5,200 through a 10-mile charity walk around Studland.

Durdle Door, Dorset
In the first challenge of this year, the Wyatt team will be undertaking a gruelling 33km hike along part of the Jurassic Coast from Bowleze Cove, Weymouth, to Corfe Castle on Saturday 26th April.
This will be a challenging hike, taking an estimated 10 hours to complete. A hardy group of the Wyatt Homes team have signed up and are busy training. We have also invited a number of our sub-contractors to join us in raising money for these two excellent organisations.
Our aim is to raise a significant amount of money for both charities that are vital to the local community.
