Wyatt Homes Welcomes Experienced New Senior Planning Manager

Steve Clark, Senior Planning Manager
We are delighted to welcome Steve Clark into his new role as Senior Planning Manager. Steve, 41, from Lytchett Matravers, brings over 20 years’ experience in the planning sector, and pre-established strong working relationships with the Wyatt team having previously worked with us on a consultancy basis.
Returning to his home patch of Dorset after a period working for Vistry Group in Head of Planning and Head of Development roles, and having previously been an Associate Planning Director for Savills in Wimborne, Steve is proud to be working towards delivering exemplary housing in an area he feels passionately about.
Priding himself on making the planning process accessible for all, Steve joins us with an enthusiasm for housebuilding, particularly for community engagement, public consultation and ensuring transparency in the planning process.

“Joining Wyatt Homes allows me to combine that with contributing towards the evolution of a place I care deeply about."
Steve said: “My planning passion has always rested in housing, and making sure that we provide enough homes to ensure that everybody has access to it.
“Joining Wyatt Homes allows me to combine that with contributing towards the evolution of a place I care deeply about.
“I’ve worked on many major, large-scale developments before, and I’m already enjoying bringing my knowledge and expertise to the team.
“I like to feel pride in my work, Wyatt Homes and the high-quality homes we build, gives me an easy route towards that. I can’t see myself doing anything other than housing, and I will be with Wyatt for the long term.”
Steve worked with Bournemouth Council until 2012 and North Dorset District Council until 2017, where he led on major housing projects, after graduating with a degree in Geography from the University of Plymouth, and a Masters’ degree in Spatial Planning from Oxford Brookes University.

Steve Clark, Saxondale Gardens
After an extensive planning career, Steve was attracted to Wyatt Homes by the respected nature of the business and our reputation for high quality, attention to detail and innovative placemaking.
Outside of planning and housebuilding, Steve is a keen runner, and has signed up for his first half marathon – the Bournemouth Half, later this year.
His weekends generally consist of family walks with his dog and transporting his two children to their sporting activities, be that for his daughter, who cheerleads, or his son, a budding footballer.
Steve has already left a strong mark on the business, adding valuable experience to our planning team and will support us on our drive towards delivery for Dorset and the wide region.
