Wyatt Homes donates nearly 10,000 bricks to help Hampshire students build their careers

As part of our commitment to supporting our local communities, we have proudly donated nearly 10,000 yellow buff bricks to South Hampshire College Group (SHCG).
SHCG is made up of three further education colleges in Eastleigh, Fareham and Southampton. After we heard that the group was on the lookout for new training materials for students to utilise, we knew we had to offer our support.
Students on the Level 1 and 2 Bricklaying courses at the Fareham and Eastleigh Colleges are now able to hone their skills, build confidence and practise their craft by using our donated bricks.

Karen Owens, Curriculum Director at the Centre for Excellence in Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training (CEMAST) and Construction at South Hampshire College, said: “Access to high-quality, industry-standard materials makes a real difference to our students’ experience. This generous donation from Wyatt Homes means they can build their skills with confidence – preparing them for the next step, whether that’s into employment, apprenticeships or further training.”
Our Managing Director, Shaun Pettitt, added: “Trainees are the future of our industry, and we are committed to supporting the skills and training of the vital trades that keep the construction industry thriving. We look forward to working further with the college group and its students.”
