Wyatt Get Green Light for Lytchett Matravers Homes

A strong emphasis on ecology and sustainability runs throughout the plans.
We have secured planning approval for 95 new homes and four acres of green space in Lytchett Matravers.
The development, named Vantage Meadows due to its far-reaching views, will make a meaningful contribution to Dorset Council’s housing targets, delivering a high‑quality mix of one to five‑bedroom homes, 40% of which will be provided as affordable housing.
The development has been designed to support both new and existing residents, offering four acres of public open space with dedicated children’s play areas, as well as creating construction jobs for the local area and generating increased council tax revenue to help fund local services.
A strong emphasis on ecology and sustainability runs throughout the plans. Bird and bat boxes, bee bricks and extensive native shrub and tree planting will help create valuable foraging habitats, while every home will benefit from energy‑efficient features including air‑source heat pumps, solar panels and EV charging points.

Our plans place sustainability, biodiversity and community benefit at their core
Tim Hoskinson, planning director at Wyatt Homes, said: “This decision represents a positive step towards delivering high‑quality, energy‑efficient homes for Lytchett Matravers. Our plans place sustainability, biodiversity and community benefit at their core, from new public open space and play areas to extensive ecological enhancements and low‑carbon technologies in every home. We’re pleased to be contributing to Dorset Council’s housing targets in a way that respects the character of the area and makes the most of the site’s beautiful views.”
We will pay in excess of £750,000 of investment for the local area. This includes biodiversity enhancement and habitat creation, primary and secondary education, NHS infrastructure support such as local GP surgeries and improvements to walking and cycling links to Lytchett Minster School.
The development’s elevated eastern edge offers far‑reaching views towards Poole Harbour and the Purbecks.
Work on site is expected to begin later this year, with further updates to follow as the project progresses. Keep your eyes peeled on our website and social media for more information.
